My Laser Tag Genesis
When I was growing up in Los Angeles during the 1970s and 1980s, my friends and I loved playing different variations of cops and robbers or shoot 'em up war games using everything from water guns to slingshots. There was even a time when throwing dirt rocks prevailed as a sport for us. Of course, some devices were more dangerous than others. Water guns and dart guns were safe but only held our attention for a short while. We would play with our slingshots or throw rocks for hours, or until someone got hurt and then quit, or a neighbor called the police (this actually happened). What my friends and I would have given to have the laser tag toys available today! In 2003, I bought some Laser Challenge laser tag guns from WalMart and played around the house with my daughter (this was before the boys were born) and really enjoyed that we could play inside the house and then retreat to the backyard while maintaining play. Totally psyched about how much fun...
